I have been going to the detroit festivals for years and every year I can't wait to attend another one they are so exciting seeing people from other cities coming to downtown to enjoy some outside time with their loved ones or with friends the atmosphere is so great seeing the detroit river as a backround to fun and entertainment I hate it when all the festivals are over because the summer fun is over here comes the hats,coats,gloves and ugh the snow and the bitter cold. I do remember that we had more festivals than we do now what happened? is it possible to get some of the other festivals back like the mexican festivals I loved sampling the tacos, burritos,enchiladas I know they would loved to celebrate their heritage in such a forum of Hart plaza. what happened to the gospel festival it was wonderful to see people especially young people jumping up and down in praise of GOD especially when there is so many things that are not of God it is wonderful to see that some still do believe in God and HE has not been deleted. I love Detroit and wish the pride could come back where we would look out for one another as it should be we are our brothers keeper I'll continue to pray for Detroit.
