Astoria Pastry Shop will satisfy yor sweet tooth

Astoria Pastry ShopAstoria Pastry Shop is one of my favorite spots to stop at when I'm in the Greektown area. It's right in the middle of the district so while you're taking a stroll through Greektown step in. You cannot miss it.

I discovered this place not to long ago while walking through Greektown. For some reason I have just missed the place so many times. I don't know how, but I'm glad I found it when I did.

This place has many deserts for you to buy. Their wide selection of deserts includes cakes, donuts, cannolis, etc. The cannolis are my absolute favorite so you must try them. I also love their chocolate cupcakes as well. The icing is delicious and they have chocolate filling inside as well which is a nice addition to make it taste even greater.

The deserts are not expensive either considering how good they are. I would come here everyday if I could (I'm a chocolate fanatic) but hey I don't think that would constitute a healthy diet would it now? :) I do try to come here 2 or 3 times a month however to get my latest fix in and the deserts rarely make it to my house once I buy them. Astoria Pastry Shop

The prices are not bad at all especially considering how good the deserts are. Also take note of the artist who is frequently in front of the shop who does those funny and out of proportion sketches for people.

This is definitely one of Detroit's best bakery and pastry shops. If you plan to make a stop by Astoria, note that if you come at night during the weekends, or just the weekend in particular, you will find it very crowded inside which is a testament to how good and popular the place is. But believe me when I say the wait is well worth it to get your hands on a delicious pastry or baked good.

I definitely try to let more people know about Astoria when I can. Check it out!!! One of Greektown's best.
