Comerica Park Detroit is a great place to watch baseballGoing to a Tigers game at Comerica Park Detroit is truly an enjoyable experience. The park is right downtown next to many Detroit restaurants and attractions such as the Detroit Athletic Club. I love going out to a game on those warm summer nights to see just one of my favorite Detroit sports teams. So if you score tickets to a game, what should you expect?
Parking For starters, parking might be something you need to find if you're staying at a place far from Comerica Park. There are plenty of places to park within the immediate area of the stadium so don't expect a superlong walk. Prices usually run 10-20 for parking. Of course parking closer to the stadium will be more expensive than parking further away. You can always use the Detroit People Mover like many other people if walking is not your style. It can be much more convenient and easier to find parking in other areas close to downtown like Cobo Hall, Campus Martius, or near Greektown, and then get off at The Grand Circus Park Station, and from there it's a short walk. The Park itself Comerica Park is a pretty brand new facility. Near places such as the Detroit Athletic Club and the Detroit Opera House, it is beautiful and one of my favorite things about the park is the view of the skyline that you are able to get from most parts of the stadium. Be sure to bring your camera for some pics. Also take notice of the HUGE tiger sculptures in the front of the park. I actually watched Comerica Park Detroit being built from the ground up and I was surprised to see these huge tigers there when they were built but they are great touches to an already nice facility. Some other great features are the sculptures of the Tigers greats which you should definitely take a look at.
Comerica Park Seating Comerica Park seating is just like any other modern park. The park seats about 45,000 with mainly two levels (upper and lower decks). Of course I would try to find tickets ahead of time and try to get seats close to the field because they are the best seats in the house. If you're not fortunate enough to get those good seats, other seats in the park aren't so bad and if you're seated way in the outfield, you might just catch a home run ball.
