The Detroit Athletic ClubThe Detroit Athletic Club is a well known place in Detroit. Find out information on weddings, membership info, and more. The Athletic Club has been the most exclusiive athletic club in the downtown Detroit area for a long time now (since 1887), and they keep their historic tradition going to this day. It's located right near major attractions such as Comerica Park, the Fillmore the Detroit Opera House, and Ford Field. The club has long been known to help out many athletes especially for atheletes competing in the Olympic games. Visually, the building is one of Albert Kahn's (a prominent Detroit architect in the past) best designs and this includes inside and outside. Inside, you can find a 25 yard swimming pool, a bowling alley, a large gym with veiws of Comerica Park, and much more. There are even massage rooms, appointed rooms for extended stays, and a business center.
It is one club that continues to impress to this day so take a visit if possible (call to see first).
