Detroit BarsFind the best bars in the Detroit areaThere are great Detroit bars to be found all around including great sports bars and pubs in the downtown Detroit area. So where can you find the best bars and clubs in the city? Whether you're single and ready to mingle, or just looking for a night out with your friend, the downtown area is a great place to start. Areas like Greektown have always been lively, but the nightlife other parts of downtown have improved a lot and hitting some awesome bars or lounges before or after a Lions, Tigers, or Red Wings game at Comerica Park, Ford Field, or Joe Louis Arena. (The Hockeytown Cafe is a great place for this.) It's pretty cool to be able to shoot the breeze with a few friends before the game or after a great win. Some also have pretty amazing restaurants and food inside to fill your hunger. Also some bars will have live performances and concerts to check out. Some concerts and shows featuring well known artists. You can also dance at some of these palces as well. If you are staying at a downtown hotel like the Atheneum Hotel or the Book Cadillac Hotel, you will be within walking distance of most bars. But you don't have to stick to the downtown area for great bars. In and around the Metro area there are tons of bars to check out. Depending on what area of town you're in, you could easily check a few of these out. Some of these also function as dance clubs.
