The Detroit Fireworks are a great display to seeThe Detroit Fireworks put on by the Parade Company are a great event to go see during the River Days Festival as it is one of the best fireworks dsiplays in the country. The fireworks are a great sight to see and being on the Detroit River makes it even better. The display happens during the annual Detroit River Days Festival and it's a great way to finish off the festival. Another great thing about the Detroit Fireworks is that two countries can see the display at the same time. You can see the display from the American side in Detroit or in Canada in Windsor. In Detroit, it is usually very crowded and me and my family and friends always try to go and get a spot early (living close to Downtown Detroit and being able to walk makes it easier as well). Some of the great spots where you will be right up close to the fireworks are Hart Plaza and the Detroit River Walk. But these spots are usually taken very quickly so you may not luck out on getting one. People also like to look from the Marriott Renaissance Center Hotel although you need to make reservations months ahead of time. Belle Isle is another great place to see the fireworks even though you will not be right in front of them. Even still, it's a great view. I usually have a few "Secret" spots that I go to and if you would like to know, just shoot me an email and hopefully I can help out :) Leaving can be quite a hassle if driving because of the large crowds of people but don't let that deter you from seeing a great fireworks display.
