Detroit SportsDetroit sports is something I truly enjoy. I'm a HUGE Pistons fans as well as the Tigers. I'm not big on hockey (ironic since this is Hockeytown right?), but I always root for them. The Lions make it difficult to be a fan but I support them season in and season out. The D is one of the great sports cities in America and I love the sports entertainment here. The Red Wings have made the playoffs continuously along with Stanley Cups in the last few years, the Pistons have a recent championship and have been dominant in the NBA for the last 5 years, the Tigers have FINALLY started playing great with a World Series appearance last year, and the Lions....err umm they play football. 3 out of 4 isn't bad and there's always next year for the Lions. None the less, 3 out of the four major Detroit sports teams venues are located downtown and here they are: Comerica Park The home of the Tigers (Tigers Schedule). Located right in the entertainment district which mean easy access to a bite to eat before and after the game. A brand new facility and one of the premier venues in the MLB. Find out more about Comerica Park.Ford Field Sitting right next to Comerica Park, is Ford Field which plays host to the Lions. It was also the site of Superbowl XL is 2006 and it's no wonder why. It is one of the best football stadiums in the league. Click here for more on Ford Field.Joe Louis Arena Home of the Red Wings, it has seen many championships and playoff runs in its day. It also has a great location right on the river. It's a great venue to check out some bball. It is also one of the largest arenas in the NBA and the Pistons continue to lead the league in attendance.
