The Gem Theatre...a true gem indeed

It is one of my favorite places for theatrical performances in the city. One of my favorite things about this theatre is the seating arrangements. It was built as a cabaret style theatre so close to the stage you will find seating at cabaret tables. This is definitely a plus in my book.

Another interesting thing to note is that the theatre holds the world record for Farthest Building location. To make a long story short, the Gem Theatre was being considered being torn down for the new Comerica Park and Ford Field venues, however through much support from people in the city, the building was able to be relocated by moving it. It ain't no small building either folks ;). It is also an architectural masterpiece.
