Jacoby's Detroit has some of the best food around

It is a place that is rich in history as it has seen some of Detroit's brightest and darkest days. In the old days many business deals were done in the restaurant. I remember the first time I found out about this place. I was walking through downtown Detroit coming from eating a delicous desert at Astoria Pastry Shop, and I had noticed that I very rarely had walked through this particular area (Bricktown). I couldn't believe that all this time with me living here, I had never noticed Jacoby's. So while I was walking, I decided to walk in and try it out.

It was during the middle of a hot summer day and I was starving for something good to eat. I know it says German in the restaurant name, but I wanted a burger and fries. I tell you it was one of the best burgers and fires I had tasted in awhile. I don't know if it was my hunger or what, but I know it would have tasted just as good if I wasn't hungry. The service was quick and the people were polite as well.

So that was my first experience eating at Jacoby's and since then it has been a favorite place of mine to go eat. Besides the good burger and fries, they have a wide range of other foods on their menu. Many of the items on the menu have German names and there are a lot of German dishes on the menu. It is also a popular place for people to go when there are games going on such as the Tigers, Red Wings, or the Lions. They are also only a few blocks from things like the Renaissance Center and Campus Martius So while you're in downtown Detroit, add Jacoby's to the list of restaurants that you will want to check out.
