Mexicantown DetroitMexicantown Detroit is another great ethnic neighborhood to visit. You can find good Mexican restaurants, bakeries, and during Cinco De Mayo, there is an awesome festival. Located in the Southwest portion of Detroit, many people who visit (and even residents) don't know about the area. It's kind of tucked away and might be hard to find for people not familiar with the area. It is one of my favorite areas to visit, especially for the best Mexican food in the area. You will find tons of restaurants and bakeries with authentic Mexican food. The smell alone while driving through some of the areas will reel you in. Taco Bell has nothing on these places ;) For people who didn't think there are taco trucks in the city, well you can find them in Mexicantown. One of the best tips I can give you is to really explore the area, and not just on the outskirts. There is a lot more to see (and even a little bit of shopping) once you go further in. It's not a big area, but it's one worth checking out. For a list of restaurants and bakeries in the area, check below: Mexicantown Restaurant This restaurant is located on the main road of Mexicantown Detroit and features good food, and even live music sometimes.
