The Milano Bakery

As the name states, it is a bakery and you can find freshly baked bread, cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and a wide variety of pastries. Milano Bakery is fairly new but it hasn't taken long for it to make a good reputation with the folks in the area. I know that many people including myself like to head to the bakery on Saturdays after a trip to Eastern Market.

My personal favorites are the chocolate cupcakes (call me boring) and the tuxedo truffle. The tuxedo truffle is VERY popular so if you come close to closing time or even a few hours before, don't expect any to be there!! Besides the great deserts, they also have great sanwiches, fresh bread, and pizza. This place i great for lunch as they close at 5. They are closed on Sundays. Definitely a place to check out. As a matter of fact, I've got a craving for some cupcakes right now ;)
