A couple of years ago, my friend and I did a NASCAR trip down to Bristol, Tennessee and we figured we'd put a couple of other events on the calendar on the drive back home across the border up to Toronto where we lived at the time. At the top of the list was a trip to Comerica Park where we saw the Tigers play the Rangers.
We arrived in Detroit nice and early so we parked downtown and walked around for a bit. We hit the casino and made a donation - we lost a bit of money - and then walked around the waterfront for a bit too and saw Windsor on the opposite side!
We got to the ballpark about 2 hours before game time and had a wander around and took pictures outside the stadium and outside Ford Field, too. Walking inside the stadium was great too as we had plenty of time to do so.
As far as the ballgame itself, it was a pretty good one. From memory, I believe this was A-Rod's last season as a Ranger so we saw him play. Comerica Park is a very nice stadium and having attended a game at old Tiger Stadium back in the 1990s, I'd say that Comerica is a great, modern upgrade and an excellent place to watch a ballgame.
