Omni Hotel Detroit**Hotel is closed until further notice** The Omni Hotel Detroit is probably one of the quietest hotels you could stay in and being on the Detroit River and River Walk makes it that much better. It is within five to ten minutes of everything in downtown Detroit. Although you may seem secluded at first, if you're looking for a weekend stay in the city or something romantic, this would be perfect.
There aren't many restaurants and attractions around the hotel, but the management offers shuttle service to the downtown area and many other points. If you are coming during the warm months, it can be pretty convenient and relaxing to go right out the door of the hotel and have the Detroit River Walk right at your door step. Not to mention a great view of the river and Canada. This summer on Thursdays from 6-10 pm, they have music playing and many people come out to enjoy and have a good time. The Omni Hotel Detroit is also located on the quietest part of the River Walk. 
It is a five star hotel, and the prices do reflect that, but you can find deals on sites such as Priceline. Even though this hotel may not be as close to many of the attractions in the city, they do have transportation available just in case you want to see a game, head to the riverwalk, or the casinos.
