Palmer Park Golf CoursePalmer Park Golf course is one of my favorite courses to play in the city. It's not a championship type course, but it is perfect for beginners and even more experienced golfers. There is no water on the course but there are plenty of trees and wooded areas to test your game. It is also very short but don't let that fool you. Many people (especially the more experienced golfers) look at the course and see how short it is, and take it lightly only to end up shooting a high number. Prices are very affordable and they have gas powered carts as well as pull carts for your convenience. There is no driving range but there is a putting area for you to practice on. After all you drive for show, and putt for dough right :) Trust me if you can putt on this course and keep the ball in play, you should have no problem shooting even or below. Always make sure to call before you come in. A tee time is not necessary, but you can make one. But the main reason you want to call is to make sure there are no leagues going off when you are trying to play. Most leagues are on two or three days of the week and start around four or five. There is a league every Friday morning at 8 and the front is usually closed until they finish teeing off. You can however tee off on the back or you can wait until they finish.
