Pegasus Taverna

Pegasus Taverna offers great food and a family friendly atmosphere. Located in Detroit's vibrant Greektown area. Greektown Detroit has a lot of good places to eat, and Pegasus Taverna is one of them. It's one of the areas more well known places to dine, and has been around for years.

The menu at Pegasus offers a great deal of variety for everyone. The place can become pretty crowded on days when there are ballgames and things may be a bit slow, but other times, you will get great service. From lemon chicken to gyros, you will be certain to get your fill of Greek food here.

My personal favorite menu items are the desserts. I have a huge sweet tooth, and things like the Double Chocolate Cake and the Cheesecake hit the right spot. Always try to save room for some great dessert.

The inside is decorated very nicely with its Greek statues and is very well lit as well. Greektown Casino took over part of the building Pegasus is located in, so you also have good access to the casino and Monroe Street. Many people thought that with the addition of Greektown and its food, it would take away business, but Pegas has remained the same if not better than ever. If you are staying at the Atheneum Hotel Detroit, you can charge your meals to the room. There are many good restaurants in Greektown and you can't possibly eat at them all if you're here for a short time, but Pegasus should be on your top 3 list.
