Rackham Golf Course in DetroitRackham Golf Course is another great place to add to your list of Detroit golf courses It's challenging, fun, and it has one of the best layouts for a golf course in the Metro Detroit area. I love this course and I have been testing my skills on it since I was young. it's still a fun track to play and I have to bring my A game every time or I will shoot some pretty horrendous scores. Some unique things about the course is that even though it presents a tough challenge for most golfers, there are no major water hazards on the course. The main thing you can expect to deal with here are long par 4s, long Par 3s, bunkers, and out of bounds. It is also bordered by the Detroit Zoo and waving to the people on the zoo train before you get up to tee off can be pretty fun. Before coming, always call ahead to setup a tee time. Rackham is one of the more popular courses in the city and if you expect to just show up and play right away, 95% of the time, it will not happen. This especially holds true for a group of four. The Pro Shop is nice, with a polite staff to compliment and you can find your usual golf course food inside along with drinks. There is no driving range, but there are two practice greens to tune in your short game skills before you tee off. 10100 W 10 Mile Rd Return from Rackham Golf Course to Detroit Golf Courses Return to Detroit Travel Guide Homepage
