Rogell Golf Course in Detroit

Rogell Golf Course in Detroit would probably rate first on the most challenging golf courses in the city of Detroit (note, not the whole metro area) One thing that makes this course very difficult are the many valleys and hills presented for you to play through. You will be tested with many blind shots to greens, both going up and down, as well as many water hazards.

When you play the first couple of holes, you may think that it's not that hard. You'll encounter a valley or two, maybe some OB left and that's about it. But as you start getting deeper into the course, you will find fairways becoming narrower lined by trees and OB. I would also recommend that if it is an extremely hot day, maybe think about taking a cart....even if you're used to walking. I walked this course many times in hot conditions mostly due to tournaments (I had no choice) and I would be exhausted. And carts can be fun on this course with all the hills and whatnot. Tee times are not required to play so if you feel like playing on a whim, go right on ahead.
