Southern Fires is a great soul food placeSouthern Fires is one of the best Soul Food Restaurants in Detroit. The owners actually converted an old factory into a top of the line restaurant. Ever since it's opening not to long ago, word has spread about the place like wildfire (pun intended). It is also not located far from downtown like a lot of other Detroit restaurants I've shared with you. Of course since it is a soul food place, you have your usual southern style cuisine, but they also have delicious seafood and the steak is pretty good also. One thing you must do is make reservations in advance because it can get crowded especially on the weekends. Price: $$Contact and location information:
